In 1980, the first Project Graduation in the country was celebrated here at Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School. Project Graduation is a celebration for the graduating seniors and their guests as one last event in their high school journey. Oxford Hills was the first high school in the country to create this event after a tragic alcohol related accident in 1979. With the motivation to keep graduates safe on such an exciting day of achievement, the community created this event.
Since 1980, high schools across the country have begun to celebrate in the same way. With each year, dedicated Oxford Hills community members and parents work all year long to fundraise, support and plan this incredible evening of absolute fun.
